Here are six advertisements pulled from the February 15, 2008 issue of American Way magazine. Considering a full page insertion costs over $25K, we know significant resources were invested in the creation of these ads. Yet several of them have, from a marketing communication perspective, severe flaws.
These flaws should be obvious after about thirty seconds to one minute. And unless otherwise noted, the problem is not so much what the ad says. Rather the problem is what the ad does NOT say!
